Gavin had a cough for a couple of weeks but then it got worse so I took him in the being of the month and it was Bronchitis. A week later I get it. Then a couple weeks later he has a fever and complaining that his ear hurts. I take him in again and as soon as we walk in the parking lot he starts crying for his Daddy. He settles down in the waiting room. Until we are placed in the room and the doctor walks in. The doctor (not his pediatrician) has me try and hold him down so she could look in his ear but she could not see much because of the wax and him moving so much. He is on another antibiotic and drops for the wax. But we have to return the following Wednesday to see his pediatrician to make sure it is a ear infection. The same thing happens crying and crying and not wanting the doctor to look in his ears. He did let him look in the ear that was not hurting.
And then yesterday Gavin decided to stick a piece of popcorn in his nose. I tried sucking it out and tweezers but no such luck. I knew the battle ahead of me. Taking him in to the doctors. Same story except he threw up twice in the waiting room and even when we got back in the exam room he was still hysterical, calling for Daddy and saying ouchy! I finally calm him down by reading him some books when the doctor walks through the door. He was hysterical again. Gavin would not let the pediatrician look in his nose. So he flushed it and Gavin was fine in a couple of minutes. I hope he doesn't have to see a doctor any time soon.
