The Holidays in Review

Our Holidays started off on December 6th by going to see the Christmas Lights at the temple with some friends and then coming back to our place and having hot chocolate and doughnuts. Then Ryan left on the 7th for interviews and Brent and I left on the 11th for the Bay Area. We did not see much of Ryan but we kept ourselves busy with playing, shopping, baking, visiting friends and family.

December 14th:
It was finally a clear day from the rain so I took Brent to the park to play with his cousin Aidan. He loved going down this giant cement slide and getting completely soaked from all the puddles on the play equipment. It was not bad enough that his clothes were hanging off of him because he was soo wet but Brent had to jump into the sand before leaving and poop in his diaper. I striped him down completely and put a fresh diaper on and we headed to my mom's to take a bath and a nap.

Cousin Aidan would not move becasue his butt was wet.

Brent still playing despite his wet clothes.

December 18th:
We bought a $16 sled form Costco and drove 2 1/2 hours to the Sierra's for Brent to play about an half hour in the snow.

December 23rd:
I took Brent to the doctors today becasue he was running a fever, his eyes were a little red and some discharge was coming out. The doctor gave us some antibotic eyes drops to put in his eyes 4 times a day. Here is a picture of Brent not wanting us to put them in.

He told us that it hurts.

December 24th Christmas Eve:
We started the day off with going and seeing Avatar while my mom and brother watched Brent. The movie was awesome. That evening we spent with my family eating appetizers and ice cream sandwiches, and opening up gifts.

December 25th Christmas Day:
For several days we kept telling Brent that Santa is coming and going to leave him toys. On Christmas morning he came down his Nana's stairs and just stared at the toys Santa left, not really knowing what to do. After staring for a few seconds he went straight for the Batman shaving kit. He could careless about the big Thomas the Train box sitting behind the shaving kit and many other little toys. Finally when we pointed the train set out to him he got all excited and could wait to open it up. Every Christmas morning since Ryan and I have been married I have made cinnamon rolls sorry to say we did not have them this year. I was too tired to make them but made some yummy bacon and cheese quiches instead. We spent the rest of the day with Ryan's family opening up gifts, eating a wonderful dinner and many desserts, and seeing Christmas lights around the neighborhood.
