Doctor's Again

So Brent has had a cough for almost 2 months now and it doesn't seam to be going away. A couple of weeks ago I took him to the ER because he was not breathing all that great. They gave him a breathing treatment and a prescription for albuterol. Then last week he got his flu shot which caused him to have a fever for a few days and he threw up a couple of times. I called the advice nurse to see if vomiting can be a symptom of his flu shot. The on call doctor called me later that night to talk about this. She asked a few questions, one of them being does he have a cough? Yes for over a month now. She told me if it doesn't get better in a week he needs to be seen by his pediatrician. Today I took him to the doctors because he was wheezing pretty bad, which his doctor confirmed. He ordered a chest x-ray and we headed down to the x-ray department not knowing how they were going to keep him still long enough to take a couple of pictures of his chest. At first they had me hold him down which is not easy. Brent is very strong boy. Then they sat him down in some contraption that had hard plastic sides that came around his whole body and strapped him in. His arms had to be up above his body. He screamed bloody murder. It broke my heart. There's a picture below of the contraption. The doctor thinks it is asthma. Thanks Daddy. So now he is on steroids for 5 days and we had to increase his inhaler. If he doesn't get better by Wednesday we have to return. I felt so bad for Brent today that he got a new Little Einstein toy, which by the way he has not put it down all day.

Oh so sad. Poor Brent. It's hard watching your baby cry at the doctor's. I hope he feels better soon.
