A Crazy Week

Last week was crazy and I do not know where to begin. I will start with a couple of weeks ago we visited family and took a bunch of pictures, which I had plans to blog. Last Sunday I downloaded the pictures, the computer did it 's normal thing by saving them or so I thought. I immediately deleted them from the camera. I went to my pictures and they were know where to be found.

Most of you probably know that I make Brent's baby food. Well on Monday I was heating his food in the microwave and it exploded on to my hand. I was not quick enough to get it off and it gave me second degree burns to the inside of my right thumb. I went to the Dr's, they bandaged it up and gave me a tetanus shot in the same arm as the burn. Between two days Tuesday and Wednesday Brent and I went to Target, Costco, Trader Joes, Albertsons, Vons, and Ralphs with a bum hand. Thursday I pulled a muscle in my back so we stayed home all day literally we did not leave the apartment.

Friday started out usual we went to the park around 11am. While we were there Ryan called to see if we could go to Target to pick up a few things. We left the park around 2pm and arrived @ Target about 2:30pm before that we stopped to get something to eat. Brent was a sleep upon arrival so I decided to get the stroller out to lay him in it. Meanwhile I did not want to carry the diaper bag in so I grabbed my phone, ATM card and the keys. I layedBrent in the stroller and then lock and shut the door. 2 seconds later I realized that I set down the keys while putting Brent in the stroller. So much for my attempt to keep Brent a sleep. Yes he woke up.

My first reaction was call Ryan, even though he's @ school and would have to take the bus home to get the other set of keys and then call around to find someone to bring him to Target. I called him anyways. While on the phone my Macgyver instincts came to me. So I went into Target with a Mission. The first thing I saw was a jiffy pop popcorn. You know the kind that is wrap in heavy foil and has a metal handle, it pops right over the stove. So I thought about it as I went to get a few items. Then I thought maybe they would have some metal coat hangers but I was betting on the popcorn. Who sells metal hangers anymore? The only time I see metal hangers is when you get your clothes back from the dry cleaner. TARGET sells metal hangers. A little fancier with being silver and having black caps on the hook part, which by the way do come off easily. It doesn't matter they will do the job along with some pliers, which Target had as well. I bought the few items and headed for the car. I untwisted the hook with the pliers and then straightened the hanger so it would go down the cracked window. Good thing I cracked the windows, right? It took a minute or two but then we where in. Hallelujah!

When we arrived home there were a lot of bee's flying outside around our apartment. I looked around to see where they were coming from, which was the direction of our living room window. There was a bee hive being formed. Later they were exterminated. Here are some Pictures.

That was our Crazy week. Here's to a better week ahead.

PS- My 2nd graders discovered a brand new wasps' nest right outside our door on the overhang yesterday. I was oh so excited!
